Shurui Zhou (https://www.eecg.utoronto.ca/~shuruiz/) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. She obtained her Ph.D. in May. 2020 in School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. She received her Master's degree from Peking University, and her Bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University. Her research focuses on helping distributed and interdisciplinary software teams to collaborate more efficiently, especially in the context of modern open-source collaboration forms, and interdisciplinary teams when building AI-enabled systems or scientific software.
