The Microsoft Research Lab - Asia (MSRA) Media Computing group is seeking real time communication and deep learning research interns to conduct new research in one of several areas, including source/channel coding, error protection, communication protocol, and network transmission. We provide multiple positions of research interns in Beijing. Internships may last at least 6 months.
Responsibilities
1. Research, develop, implement and evaluate novel algorithms related to above topics (in bold text).
2. Collaborate closely with researchers in the team.
Basic qualifications
1. Excellent software development skills with C++, Python.
2. Experience in implementing algorithms in deep learning.
3. Familiar with deep learning frameworks (e.g., tensorflow, pytorch).
4. Capabilities of quick problem solving.
5. Good English reading and writing.
Preferred qualifications
1. In the process of obtaining an advanced degree (PhD preferred) in signal processing, machine learning, or related field.
2. Specific deep learning skills on real time communication.
3. Familiar with optimization algorithms and libraries.
