应地球科学与资源学院构造教研室邀请，中国科学院青藏高原研究所Amaneh Kaveh 研究员将来我校进行学术交流，并作学术报告。 题目：Tectonics, Base-Level Fluctuations, and Climate Impact on the Eocene to Present-Day Erosional Pattern of the Arabia-Eurasia Collision Zone (lranian Plateau) 时间：2024年6月20日16::00-18:00 地点：逸夫楼616 报告人简介：Dr. Amaneh Kaveh completed her undergraduate (bachelor) and graduate (master) studies in Tehran, Iran, and earned her PhD at ETH Zurich in Switzerland. Following that, she undertook three postdoctoral positions at various institutions (ETH, INIOAS, and ITU). Since January, she has been a visiting researcher, awarded by PIFI, collaborating with the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research (ITP) at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Her research focuses on landscape evolution and crustal deformation in active collisional zones. In particular, she investigates how erosion in these landscapes reflects long- and short-term interactions between tectonics, climate, and surface processes. She employs various approaches, including morphotectonic analysis, paleoseismology, cosmogenic nuclides (10Be and 36Cl), and kinematic modeling. 欢迎广大师生参加交流，研究生记学术报告一次！
