1. The candidate should be self-motivated and have strong interests in data science and machine learning with strong math background. 2. The candidate will play a leading role in conducting innovative research projects in a stimulating, open, and international research environment in a highly talented and motivated machine learning and data science group at UAlbany. 3. A non-exhaustive list of topics that are currently investigated by the team including stochastic optimization, stability and generalization analysis, deep learning for imbalanced classification, differential privacy, and trustworthy machine learning.
